First bats, now NERDS!
This just in…21 Roanoke was invaded by a bunch of 30-something nerds carrying Mac Books and yelling about Chad Ocho Cinco! Help!

BATS!!!!!
We’ve been invaded by bats! We’ve think they’re getting into the house through the roof above the kitchen. Now that there’s no ceiling, there’s nothing keeping them out of our living space. Thank god we have Sam and Brad, armed with a tennis racket, broom and hammer to keep us safe!
I took the dead bats the the Department of Health to have them tested for rabies. One was so smashed they couldn’t test it! Gross!

Baking when it’s 90 degrees…why not?
I made a blueberry pie with fresh blueberries from the Tim and Amy’s blueberry patch, and zucchini bread with zucchini’s from our own garden. Mmmm.

More Kitchen Demo
We’ve removed the lathe and insulation and tore down the ceiling. Next steps, skylights and a new roof.
